Stained Glass masterpieces on Tour in the USA

I recently had the great privilege of conserving some Edward Burne-Jones/William Morris stained glass masterpieces on behalf of Birmingham Museum. A selection of their stained glass collection is travelling to the USA on a three year exhibition tour, and I carried out specialist framing and lighting of these beautiful pieces. Wow!

Fancy learning to make your own stained glass window?

I am running weekend courses for beginners in the fun and relaxed environment of my studio in beautiful rural south Leicestershire. Over two days you will learn the skills needed to create an A4 size leaded panel to take home at the end of the course. You will discover how to design a simple leaded window, how to draw it up to full size, how to choose the right glass, how to work with lead and solder, and how to weather proof your panel. This course is designed for complete beginners who want to learn new skills and create a beautiful glass panel. Autumn courses start on 6th & 7th Oct 2018. Call me for more details, prices and availability on 07795 262342 or message me 🙂

Latest Commission installed at Christ Church, Teddington in London

It can be very tricky photographing stained glass! Here is my latest commission for Christ Church, Teddington in London completed with two new stained glass windows. This building is a wonderful addition to an established church, with lots of natural light, fantastic oak beams and steel anchor points creating a very contemporary interior. The themes are Water and Fire, and the designs have been screen printed and kiln fired onto toughened glass, before being made into double glazed units.

“Tree of Life” stained glass window dedicated by Bishop of Leicester

Here is my “Tree of Life” stained glass window for St. Mary’s Church Melton Mowbray, dedicated by the Bishop of Leicester. I was delighted to be asked to make this in celebration of the community of Melton Mowbray. The design includes references to the Leicestershire Fox, Painting the Town Red, the conductor Sir Malcolm Sargent, the Town Estate, and of course Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese!
