Shortlisted for Council Offices Public Art competition

I’ve recently been shortlisted to design and make a new Public Art installation at the Symington Building in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The theme of the competition is about celebrating the history of the Symington Building, which¬†used to be owned by the Symington family who made a variety of things including corsets, brassieres, soups, and coffee. It’s an eclectic output! So, I decided to compose a poem which celebrates this history and combine it with fused glass sculptures to create a three dimensional poem on the wall of the reception area.
